Three Phase and Single Phase Electric Motors:
Amber Electric Motors with Standard Efficiency in accordance with IS 12615. All motors ranging from 71 to 132M are heavy duty, stout constructed and rugged motors completely manufactured and tested with latest available technology within our factory premises. Amber Electric motors are equipped with best CRNO magnetic lamination sheets, appropriately lubricated double sealed ball bearings and EN8 material grounded shafts. Ensure vibration free working as well as decrease chances of maintenance and give a longer life to the motor. These motors are wounded with modified polyester enameled copper wire (IS 13730, Part 03, Thermal Class 155°C) and insulation is Class F with permissible temperature rise limited to Class B which allows 25°C reserve thermal capacity. Bearings used in these motors being appropriately lubricated double sealed make sure that there are no frictions generated which may electrically as well as mechanically harm the motor. In AN Series (90 to 132M Frame) motors there is major flexibility of mounting the connection box on any of the three sides on request.
Crane Duty Brake Motors
Three phase AC Brake motors offered by Amber consist of AC Electromagnetic Fail Safe Brake Unit mounted on the non-drive end of the motor and coupled directly to the shaft of the motor. The brake in these motors will apply whenever the power to the brake is cut off. These motors are availed with or without cooling fan based on the application and requirement. Application of AC Three phase brake motors are in lifts, hoists, conveyors and other applications where the frequency of switching the brake On-Off is very low. The major care to take while operating these motors is to check that power to motor and brake are cut off simultaneously otherwise the motor or brake may get damaged.
Unbalance Vibratory Motors
Three phase vibratory motors manufactured at Amber are motors with heavy steel graded cast iron bodies and with adjustable unbalance masses at both ends suitable for vibrating any equipment used for emptying, dosing, testing, compacting, cleaning, screening, loosening, distributing, conveying or feeding. Amber Vibrators are such designed that they generate maximum vibration with minimum input power. These vibratory motors are totally enclosed dirt and dust proof constructed and the amplitude of vibration can be easily controlled in it. Heavy duty roller/ball permanently greased bearings ensure long, trouble free and maintenance free operation in Amber Vibratory motors. Applications of Vibratory motors are numerous as they can be used in batching plants, construction machines, small parts finishing or polishing machines, ceramic industries, demolishing and recycling units, mineral extraction machines, foundry equipments, etc.
Cooling Tower Motors
Amber manufactures Cooling Tower Motors suitable for used in oil refineries, petrochemical and other chemical plants, thermal power stations and HVAC systems for cooling buildings. A cooling tower is a heat rejection device which rejects waste heat to the atmosphere through the cooling of a water stream to a lower temperature. Cooling Tower motors are TE (Totally Enclosed) or TEFC (Totally enclosed fan cooled) constructed in B5 mounting with extra long shaft and extended threaded end. The shaft of cooling tower motor is such designed that the fan of cooling tower can be directly mounted on the motor shaft. These motors can further be customized as per requirement of the application.
Customized Electric Motor
Amber manufactures and supplies any type of customized three phase or single phase electric motors as per the mechanical dimensions and electrical power supply requirements provided by the customers. Using latest technology 3D Mechanical Designing and Electrical Winding Designing software customized motors are developed at Amber. Amber has approx. 700 SKUs which means more than 300 different designs of electric motors have been developed and supplied to the customers since it's establishment. Amber can supply customized motors in less quantity also.
Abrasive Belt Grinders
Amber manufactures Double End Abrasive Belt Grinders which accommodates a direct drive motor and serrated contact rubber wheels at both the ends of the motor and the attachments for mounting, tensioning and resting the belt are mounted on the motor side cover. The belt tensioning arm can be tilted easily from 0 to 90 degrees as per the application. A rotary ON – OFF Switch is mounted on the motor base. A fabricated or Cast Iron pedestal stand can be provided on special request. Belt tensioning can easily be done by just pulling down the handle which is loaded on a spring. A belt adjusting knob helps to easily adjust the belt on the wheel. A serrated contact rubber wheel behind the abrasive belt helps to effortlessly ground and finish castings, forgings, hardware, kitchenware, metal fabricated parts, plastic parts, glass edges, etc. Other than standard double end belt grinders Amber can also manufacture customized belt grinders suitable for any particular application.
Manual Bench Grinders
Bench grinders are a horizontal motor with a spindle at each end. They can sharpen a woodworking chisel or a chipped lawnmower blade, restore the damaged end of a wrecking bar, or remove rust from an old weathervane, keep lathe and drill bits in great condition. While higher HP Bench Grinders can deburr castings and forgings even at high pressure. Robust and rugged cast iron construction of Amber Bench Grinders ensure its long life. Ample space between body and wheels helps operator to grind even odd shaped or long end jobs. The rotor of the Amber Bench Grinders being precisely dynamically balanced ensures vibration & noise free working. Though having no cooling facility these grinders do not get heated even after continuous us e because the winding in all grinders manufactured at Amber are Insulated with Class ‘B’ insulation which protects them against high temperature rise. Deep grooved, double sealed and self lubricated normal clearance ball bearings are assembled at K5 tolerance on the EN8 steel shaft in each and every bench grinders. For operator’s safety and easy working heavy duty cast iron wheel guards are fitted on the sides with appropriate eye shields and adjustable M. S. Tool rest. For higher HP grinders SG (Steel Graded) casted wheel covers are fitted. For easy ON-OFF rotary switches are installed in every Amber Bench Grinders. Fabricated stand and DOL starter can also be provided on request.
Manual Bench Polishers
Bench Polishers manufactured by Amber are horizontal bench mounted motors with threaded shaft extensions on both ends suitable for mounting tapper threaded shaft attachments on which the buffing or polishing wheels are mounted. Amber Bench Polishers are continuous rating, heavy constructed and noise free. The rotors are dynamically balanced to make the bench polishers vibration free and get optimum results. The windings of bench polishers are designed with extra capacity to bear temporary overloads as well as maintain the temperature at the same time. Bench Polishers above 2 HP (1.5 KW) are fitted with four bearings and longer in distance between two wheels. Ball bearings are assembled with accurate tolerances on housings and shaft which helps to develop less maintenance and gives longer life as well as these bearings are suitably covered so as to prohibit fine dust generated from polishing to enter the bearing cages. At Amber electrically or mechanically customized Bench Polishers can also be manufactured to suit job’s requirement. Bench Polishers are appropriate for carrying out buffing, polishing and dressing operations of parts of building hardware, kitchenware, aluminum, plastics, stainless steel, leather goods, jewelry, watch making industries, automobiles, gift articles, acrylic, electroplating industries etc.
Swing Frame Grinders
Swing-frame grinder can be simply explained as any power driven rotatable grinding, polishing, or buffing wheel mounted in such a manner that the wheel with its supporting framework can be manipulated over stationary objects. Experience has shown that swing frame wheels can increase productivity 5 to 9 times over conventional portables. Mostly Swing Frame Grinders are used for high speed removal of gates and risers of heavy duty castings, forgings or fabricated parts which are difficult to move. These grinders are powered by a continuous duty TEFC squirrel cage low power consuming induction motor through a multiple “V” belt drive with single or double step belt adjustment. They are designed to work under severe duty environments. All the rotating parts in Amber Swing frame grinders being dynamically balanced the vibration is negligible. Deep groove sealed and appropriately greased bearings with normal clearance are fitted on the wheel shaft. At the front end of the grinder; two handles are welded for handling the grinder while grinding. The grinding wheel is protected with the covers and the ‘V’ Belts with sheet metal belt guards. Robust and balanced fabrication minimises the transmission of vibrations to the operator. Above all; ergonomic design and length suitable for attaining a comfortable to-and-fro motion are taken care for developing Amber Swing Frame Grinders.
